Well, hello there! Glad you stopped by!
For those of you who may not know me, my name is Amanda. The name “Alfelfa Sprouts” came about because of a nickname I gave my husband and I shortly after we were married. His initials are “elf” (he even has pointy ears!), mine are “alf”, and together they sound like “alfalfa”. I changed the spelling just a bit so the letter “e” wouldn’t feel too left out.
My husband, Eric, and I have two little sprouts now. They are right around 4 and 2 years old. I spend my days as a stay at home mom taking care of these two very precious little girls. You are sure to hear quite a bit about my little family if you hang around my blog too long.
A few fun facts about me:
-I am a Pastor’s Wife and I love our church community
-I was homeschooled and plan to do the same for my children
-I am a licensed math teacher and taught 8th grade math for 4 years
-I can scrunch my lips to make it look like I have cat whiskers
-If you haven’t noticed already, I can be kind of a nerd
Most importantly, I am a follower of Christ. A daughter of the Most High King. I am a work in progress but my heart’s desire is to grow more and more like Him each day. My hope is that as I pursue God in the craziness of motherhood I am able to plant seeds of encouragement that sprout and bring life to your heart.
Hope to see you around!
